WHICH RSA TRAINING SHOULD I DO?
- Club/Club Restricted/Occasional Liquor Licence
- For workers engaged in the sale, supply or service of liquor at a Western Australian premises with a Club/Club Restricted or Occasional licence (unless otherwise required by RGL), the minimum training requirement is either:
- Certificate of Completion for Clubs WA Responsible Service of Alcohol – Club Industry Training; or
- Statement of Attainment for SITHFAB021 – Provide responsible service of alcohol (or equivalent)
- For workers engaged in the sale, supply or service of liquor at a Western Australian premises with a Club/Club Restricted or Occasional licence (unless otherwise required by RGL), the minimum training requirement is either:
- All Other Liquor Licences / Crowd Controllers
- For all other liquor licenses, for workers engaged in the sale, supply or service of liquor the mandatory training requirement is:
- Nationally Accredited Responsible Service of Alcohol
- For all other liquor licenses, for workers engaged in the sale, supply or service of liquor the mandatory training requirement is:
WHICH APPROVED MANAGER CARD WILL I NEED?
- There are two types of Approved Manager Cards – Restricted and Unrestricted.
- The type of Approved Manager Card to apply for and any additional training that may be required will depend on a few factors as below.
- RESTRICTED Approved Manager Card
- The RSA Statement of Attainment or Clubs WA RSA Certificate of Completion allows you to apply for a Restricted Approved Manager ID card from the Department of Racing, Gaming and Liquor at https://portal.dlgsc.wa.gov.au/.
- A Restricted Approved Manager Card is valid at a WA licensed premises with a Club/Club Restricted or Occasional liquor licence. No further training is required for this level of card, however the club may wish you to undertake the next level of training.

- UNRESTRICTED Approved Manager Card
- MLPLCA001 – Manage legislative requirements for the sale, supply and service of liquor (Approved Manager Training) or 52863WA – Course in Management of Licensed Premises allows you to apply for an Unrestricted Approved Manager ID card from the Department of Racing, Gaming & Liquor at https://portal.dlgsc.wa.gov.au/.
- Pre-requisite for this course is Statement of Attainment: SITHFAB021 – Provide responsible service of alcohol (or equivalent).
- An Unrestricted Approved Manager Card is valid at all WA licensed premises.

HOW DO I GET MY APPROVED MANAGER CARD?
- The Approved Manager card is obtained by applying through Racing, Gaming & Liquor at www.portal.rgl.wa.gov.au.
- Racing, Gaming & Liquor current fees for the Approved Manager card can be found on the RGL website.
- Information on the Approved Manager Card application process can be found RGL website.
WHAT IS A STATEMENT OF ATTAINMENT?
- Statements of Attainment are issued by an RTO to certify the completion of one or more units or modules from a VET qualification, or the completion of an accredited short course.
- A Statement of Attainment will include the following:
- The words Statement of Attainment
- Unit of Competency details
- The Nationally Recognised Training (NRT) logo
Examples of certificates that DO NOT satisfy the above requirement are:
- Statement of Attendance
- Certificate of Completion
- Statement of Participation

WHY DO YOU NEED TO VERIFY MY IDENTITY AND THAT I COMPLETED THE TRAINING?
- As a Registered Training Organisation (RTO), we are required to confirm the identity of individuals who complete Nationally Recognised Training through us.
- Where you complete your training online, we are also required to verify that you were the person who did the training.
- As per our Privacy Policy, this information will not be used for any other purpose.
MY LOGIN IS NOT WORKING. WHAT SHALL I DO?
- If you registered prior to 18th November 2019, your login details will no longer work.
- If you require a copy of a certificate, please contact us on 08 9417 7149 or at [email protected].
- If you would like to commence further training, please re-register your details.
- If you registered from 2020, reset your password using ‘Forgot your password?’ at the login screen.

I HAVE JUST REGISTERED. WHERE ARE MY LOGIN DETAILS?
- Once you have successfully registered for your course, an email with the Subject ‘Training Login Details’ is emailed immediately.
- This email contains your username and password.
- A new password will need to be created when first logging in.
- If you are unable to locate the email, it may have gone to your junk/spam/trash folder.
WHERE IS MY INVOICE?
- Once you have successfully registered for your course, an email with the Subject ‘Course Enrolment’ is emailed immediately.
- Your invoice is attached to this email.
- If you are unable to locate the email, it may have gone to your junk/spam/trash folder.
WHEN WILL MY CERTIFICATE BE ISSUED?
- Your certificate will be emailed to you within one (1) business day of:
- All assessments being marked as competent
- Satisfactory completion of the Authenticity and Knowledge Assessment Verifications
I HAVE LOST MY CERTIFICATE, CAN I GET ANOTHER COPY?
- For a copy of your certificate, ring us on 08 9417 7149 Monday to Friday between 8.30am and 4.30pm (excluding Public Holidays) or email [email protected].
- There is no cost to have a replacement certificate emailed.
CAN I DO YOUR COURSES IF I AM AN OVERSEAS STUDENT?
Nationally Recognised Training Courses
- Nationally Recognised Training (NRT) courses are issued with a Statement of Attainment.
- Overseas Students (as defined in Section 5 of the ESOS Act 2000) are able to complete NRT RSA and Food courses offered by Hospitality Alliance Training as they are now exempted from the definition of ‘course’ under the ESOS Act and can be delivered by a non-CRICOS training organisation.
- Please note that the Approved Manager Card training courses are not on the exempted list – if you are an Overseas Student as defined in Section 5 of the ESOS Act 2000, you are NOT eligible to enrol into an Approved Manager Card training course with Clubs WA (Trading as Hospitality Alliance Training) as we are not CRICOS/ELICOS registered. Clubs WA Industry Training Courses
- Industry courses are issued with a Certificate of Completion.
- Overseas Students can complete any Clubs WA Industry Training course.
